Due to working various shipyards & military bases, background checks will be conducted for the positions listed below. Please complete application completely & accurately.

ELECTRICIANS - prefer 5-7 years of shipboard electrical experience. Cableway, multi-pin connector, and Fiber Optic certified preferred.

ELEVATOR MECHANICS/OUTSIDE MACHINISTS - Shipboard outside machinist with 5 or more years experience, elevator background a plus.

WELDERS - Certified TIG, MIG, Stick, and/or Flux core welders with ship repair experience.

MAINTENANCE HELPER - The duties for the position will entail janitorial and landscaping duties.


PAINTING SUPERVISOR – C-7 Blaster, C-12 airless Spray, C-13 UHP waterjet, C-14 plural component, and NBPI qualifications preferred. Minimum 5 years experience in fast paced marine preservation industry as a supervisor.

OUTSIDE MACHINE SHOP SUPERVISOR - Minimum of 6 years experience in the ship repair mechanical field with supervisory experience. Knowledge of shafts, valves, seals, hydraulic systems, and deck machinery. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus.

OUTSIDE MACHINISTS- 5 years experience preferred. Must have knowledge of shaftings, wheels, pump overhauls, and alignments. Underwater hull experience required.


PIPEFITTERS – 1 st Class with 7 or more years experience in working on commercial and government vessels. Prefer candidates with a background in being a pipefitter leadsperson or pipefitter supervisor. Silver braze qualification a plus. Must be able to read blueprints and tack weld.


GAS FREE SHOP SUPERVISOR – 10 years in the shipboard tank & gas free field with 3 years as a supervisor. Must have a valid driver’s license, and able to obtain a Regional Contractors’ Badge. Basic computer skills a plus.


SHIPFITTERS – 1 st Class with a minimum of 5 years experience. Able to tack weld and read blue prints.

QA COORDINATOR - Candidate must have experience in a QA related field with knowledge of QA processes, check points, and NAVSEA Standard Items.  Must possess a minimum of intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & Access). Duties will include initiating Test & Inspection Plans/Records, maintaining calibrated equipment, document control, setting up check points, and supporting the QA department with clerical duties.

PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR/FITTER- (2 ND shift) Qualified applicants will have at least 5 years of experience as a press break operator, and fitting/fabrication of structural steel. Job duties will include operation of press break, complete lay-out, fitting and fabrication of structural steel. Heavy industrial steel background required, with the ability to tack weld and read blue prints.


WELDERS/FABRICATORS- Qualified applicants will have at least 5 years of experience with lay-out, fitting and fabrication of structural steel. Job duties will include complete lay-out, fitting and fabrication of structural steel. Prefer applicant that has a heavy industrial steel background. Able to tack weld and read blue prints. 1st and 2nd shift available.


WELDING ENGINEER – Minimum of 10 years experience in welding with working knowledge of AWS, ASME, MIL-STD, AISC, and ABS welding codes and welding processes. Expertise in welding power sources, wire feeders, and welding consumables. Must possess Microsoft Office skills. Engineering degree preferred.

ESTIMATOR- The successful candidate will possess 7 years of experience in estimating fabricated assemblies. Painting & Machine Shop exp a plus as well as knowledge of SSPC requirements. Knowledge of machining requirements, NAVSEA and NAVFAC preferred. Estimator will perform conceptual estimates at times when detailed design information is not available and solicit pricing from material vendors and subcontractors. PC skills to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and AutoCAD preferred.


ESTIMATING/CONTRACTS MANAGER- Candidate must have experience in Contract Administration and Management and knowledge of FAR, DFAR and FFP & T&M contracts. Possess a thorough understanding and a minimum of 7 plus years experience in the manufacturing process, materials, and costing methods for heavy steel fabrication. Must have working knowledge of AWS, AISC, ABS, and ASME code/certification requirements. Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and AutoCAD preferred.


PURCHASING AGENT-
5+ yrs experience in the steel industry with purchasing background. Knowledge of steel vendors and ASTM standards. Warehouse and inventory skills a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.

PROJECT MANAGER- Managerial positions requiring a professional with 10+ years' exp. in the following: heavy industrial/marine fabrication construction (not constructing buildings), project management, planning, estimating, and contract negotiations. A working knowledge of AWS, AISC, and ASME code/certification requirements is preferred. 5+ years experience in project analysis, take-off, and estimating in industrial heavy fabrication projects.


PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT – Managerial position requiring 7+ years of supervisory experience in heavy industrial/marine fabrication contraction (no constructing buildings). NAVSEA, NAVFAC, and SSPC painting requirements are preferred but not required. Knowledge of CNC and manual machining is preferred. Candidate should possess extensive knowledge in heavy fabrication, welding, fitting and burning processes, coatings (marine and structural) processes, construction manufacturing processes, materials, and working knowledge of AWS, AISC, and ASME code/certification requirements.
