MATERIAL EXPEDITER - coordinate and track all material for the fabrication shop. Work closely with purchasing, shipping/receiving, project management, QAas well as understanding and reacting to the customer's requirements and associated regulatory bodies. Must be organized with good communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD required. Applicant must be comfortable working in a hot, cold, wet environment with the ability to walk throughout the facility multiple times a day.

STEEL FABRICATION PROJECT MANAGER - Applicant shall have minimum BS in Engineering or experience equivalent and 7 years professional experience in heavy steel fabrication; welding/fitting experience, take-offs, bid, proposals and contract experience.

STEEL FABRICATION ESTIMATOR - applicant shall have  a minimum of an Associates Degree.  Requires material take-off and material research (availablility, pricing, etc.) skills. 10 years marine and heavy plate fabrication experience preferred.  Must be proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel.   Microsoft Project, Auto Cad and welding experience a plus.

INSIDE MACHINIST - Journeyman level. Large pieces, manual operation and reverse engineering, some CNC, minimum of 7 yrs experience. Trainees (very good in MATH) will be considered.

FIELD / IN-PLACE MACHINIST - Inside machinist able to machine on site. Journeyman level preferred.

SHIPFITTER/LAYOUT FABRICATOR/WELDER - 1st class with 10 yrs experience shop work

WELDERS - FCAW ABS/ASME/AWS certification and a minimum of 10 years experience.

STEEL FABRICATION WELDING SUPERVISOR-  12 years professional experience in heavy steel fabrication.  Need welding/fitting experience and be capable of writing & developing weld procedures. Knowledge of  NDT &  CWI helpful.

TEST & INSPECTION DOCUMENTER - Maintain, process, schedule & distribute test/inspection notification and plans.  Liason with customer & regulatory bodies.  Possesses excellent organizational & communication skills.  Proficiency with Microsoft Access Database and Excel is required.  Knowledge of NAVSEA/MSC/USGC requirements a plus.

PAINT RESOURCE MANAGER -
QP-1 Paint Contractor looking for a manager to lead a multi shift blasting & painting operation. 5 years supervisory experience in marine coatings to both commercial & navy requirements. Knowledge of DEQ requirements, NAVSEA SI 009-32, SSPC specifications, C-7 blasting & C-12 spray painting requirements. Commitment to quality, safety & improving the shop. Strong communicator must be able to set goals & priorities for the dept.

DOWN RIVER SUPERVISOR - On site supervisor. Responsible for the day to day function of multiple jobs at various sites. A background in steel fabrication and structural application is necessary. Applicant must have a minimum of 8 years experience and must have a current driver's license and a clean driving record. Applicant must be able to obtain a Regional Contractor's Badge (mandatory). DOD clearance a plus.

MATERIALS ESTIMATOR - Applicant must have previous experience in material estimating, drawings and take-offs.  Requires a motivated candidate with strong organizational skills.  Marine knowledge helpful.

WELDING SUPERVISOR - minimum of 8 years shipboard experienc.  Supervisory experience required.

PIPE WELDER - Night Shift, experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, stick. 5 years experience preferred.


GAS FREE RESOURCE MANAGER
-Candidate will be responsible for all gas, oil, oily water transfer operations at Colonna's Shipyard, Inc. Candidate must be able to read understand all applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFR's), DEQ and EPA requirements. Candidate will be responsible for the implementation and training concerning these policies.


PROJECT MANAGER - Manage government and commercial ship repair projects. Minumum 5 years shipyard, ships officer or large construction project manager  experience. BS/A TECH or MGT.

OUTSIDE MACHINISTS - 1ST class, minimum of 10 years experience.

WELDERS - 2nd class and above FCAW and ship repair experience. 1st & 2nd shift.  NAVSEA 248and ABS certifications.  Other certifications a plus.

CARPENTER - marine carpenter, minimum of 5 years shipyard experience required.  Journeyman level preferred. Insulation experience a plus.
