Randall Crutchfield

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

A maritime industry executive with an extensive background in ship repair, fabrication, machining, and capital project planning and execution, Crutchfield has served as Chairman and CEO since January of 2024. Having previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Industrial Operations, he oversaw the operational aspects of the business, while also executing long-term strategic initiatives including acquisition activity, strengthening corporate safety culture, and leading targeted customer development efforts. He also has extensive experience in procurement, contracts, project management and estimating. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned his MBA from Regent University.

Jordan Webb

President & General Manager

With extensive experience in commercial and government ship repair, contracts, procurement and estimating, Webb has served as President and General Manager of Colonna’s Shipyard since January of 2024. Having begun his career on the waterfront as a ship superintendent and moving through project management and operations management roles of increasing scope and responsibility, he now leads all ship repair activity, procurement, contracts and subcontracting for the enterprise. Serving on the boards of the Shipbuilder’s Council of America and the Virginia Ship Repair Association, Webb is a respected leader in the maritime industry. He is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

BRIAN WATERFIELD, CPA

Chief Finance Officer

A finance executive with extensive experience in assurance and advisory services, Brian Waterfield serves as Chief Financial Officer at Colonna’s Shipyard. Prior to joining the company, he spent more than nine years in public accounting, most recently as an Assurance Director in Norfolk, where he advised middle-market organizations across government contracting, nonprofit, and construction sectors. He has led engagement teams delivering financial statement audits and reviews, and regularly advised executive leadership and boards on internal controls, emerging accounting standards, and financial analysis. A Hampton Roads native, Waterfield is active in the community, serving on the Finance Committee for the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation and on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads. He holds a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from College of William & Mary and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

CHRIS MARSH

Executive Director of Waterfront Operations

Joining Colonna’s in 2022 as Director of Trades, Marsh now serves as the Executive Director of Waterfront Operations where he leads enterprise-wide ship repair efforts. In addition to the Norfolk ship repair operation, he is responsible for Colonna’s Down River and Colonna’s Shipyard West in San Diego, Calif. A seasoned ship repair professional, prior to joining Colonna’s, Marsh was director of production for GD NASSCO-Norfolk. Beginning his career as a Newport News Shipbuilding apprentice, he has significant experience in personnel and trade management. He is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

BRANDI SMITH

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & VICE PRESIDENT, STEEL AMERICA

A proven industrial and maritime executive with more than two decades of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program leadership, Smith joined Steel America as Executive Director and Vice President in June 2026. Prior to joining the company, she held several senior leadership positions at Huntington Ingalls Industries – Newport News Shipbuilding, most recently serving as Program Director for USS John F. Kennedy (CVN 79) and previously as Vice President of Columbia Class Construction.

Throughout her career, Smith has led complex operations and large-scale defense programs while driving initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. Known for building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of accountability, she brings extensive experience delivering results in demanding industrial environments. Smith earned her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and her Master of Business Administration from The College of William & Mary.

Chris Bates

President of Accurity

With significant experience managing businesses engaged in industrial and heavy construction and maintenance, in 2017 Bates founded Accurity Industrial Contractors, located in Owensboro, Kentucky. Working comfortably in both field and office, Bates brings a full range of knowledge including experience with commercial construction, municipal wastewater, refinery, food and beverage, and power projects. His specific work experience includes project controls, project engineering, project management, and estimating. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology with an emphasis in Construction Management.
