Colonna’s Apprenticeship Program

Colonna’s Apprenticeship Program is a four-year program that combines classroom/college level instruction alongside on- the-job training under the guidance of experienced craftspeople. Over the course of the four years, apprentices will receive on-the-job training (OJT) and classroom instruction (RTI) while learning a skilled trade.

Compensation
Colonna’s Apprenticeship Program compensation is based on a graduated pay scale. Every six-months apprentices are evaluated on skill, performance, and grades to be eligible for the next scheduled pay increase.

Program Basic Qualifications

  • United States Citizen
  • 18 Years of Age or Older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check
  • Eligible to receive DBIDS (Naval Yard Access)
  • Pass Drug Test and Physical
  • Demonstrate a reasonable degree of mechanical, math and verbal aptitude
  • Complete Application and required screening questions

  • Invited to Mandatory Information Session
  • 1 on 1 Interviews
  • Final Panel Interviews with Leadership
  • Candidates Selected – Physicals/Drug Test/Background Check
  • January 2023 Start Apprenticeship Program
